I am always asking myself how I can help others to live not just a life of getting by but a

connected, uplifted, thriving existence.

I believe deeply, and have learned personally,

that Yogic practices teach us how we can embody all life has in store "the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune";

without disengaging from grand and small,

painful and joyful.

ABOUT ME in third person:

Erin grew up in Calgary AB, lived in New York City for 13 years and has landed in paradise aka Vancouver Canada. Through her over 15 years of study, and as a survivor of deep loss/trauma, Erin has learned that Yogic practices are practices of healing and freedom, physically emotionally and cognitively.

We are meant to thrive, our suffering is the result of our beliefs, habits and traumas clouding

the path toward freedom.

Training:

Erin has been teaching since early 2005 after being sponsored by Sonic Yoga (NYC) to get her 200hr RYT. Erin was sponsored, once again, to complete her 500hr training with Three Sisters Yoga, focusing on Yoga, Stress and Healing. She assisted the first 100hr PREMA Yoga Institute's training at PURE, NYC (now acting as a guest lecturer in the 800hr Yoga Therapeutics program) and is an IAYT certified Yoga Therapist. She has training in YIN yoga, meridians and acupressure, is certified Thai Massage level 1 and has her Reiki 2.

In the Fall of 2017 Erin completed her 200hr Certification in Applied Positive Psychology with the Flourishing Center and in 2020 Her Breath Certification level 1 with Prema.

She has trained with multiple teachers and doctors in multiple yogic disciplines with a deep focus on anatomy over the years.

Teaching teachers around the world and NGO work:

Erin is the Director/co-creator of the "Yoga Project" with World Spine Care

(an international NGO) https://www.worldspinecare.org/yoga-project/

The Yoga Project teaches local people associated with WSC spine care clinics (Botswana, Dominican Republic, Ghana so far) and trains them to be Yoga teachers for patient recovery and prevention in chair/wall asana (poses), mindfulness and breath for back care and pain management.

One of Erin’s greatest Yoga joys has been as mentor and instructor in 200 and 300hr (and now 800hr) RYT/IAYT programs since 2009 teaching everything from Anatomy, Asana Alignment, Hands on Assist, Yoga for Stress & Injury, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Karma Yoga (Seva), Yoga for Special Populations, Asana alignment etc.

She her current teaching focus in TT's is intro and advanced anatomy as a core faculty memeber with: Prema Yoga Institute, Illumina Yoga and Lila Vinyasa 200/300. Other programs she has taught in over the years: Three Sisters Yoga (8years), The Yoga Pagoda in Vero Beach Florida and more and was part of the Yoga team for camp Good Life Project for 5 years.

You can hear some of Erin's story in her interview with Jonathan Fields on the podcast Good Life Project.
